Adam began his finance career in 2012 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and an MBA from Liberty University. It was also at Liberty that Adam met Marcy, who would become his wife and future business partner. His career began at Edward Jones, where he obtained Series 7 & 66 registrations, long-term care, and insurance licenses, and began establishing a foundation for building client relationships. The move to Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network expanded investment options and introduced the team approach that Atlas Investment Management now utilizes to draw on separate experiences and expertise in an effort to provide a higher level of service to clients.

As a founding partner and Financial Advisor, Adam believes in a full-service advisory role, engaging in honest conversations with clients to determine the best portfolio and plan for their goals.  As a Fundamental Choice certified advisor, he offers portfolios to ease clients' burdens, allowing them to focus on their busy lives. 

Outside of work, Adam enjoys going to the beach, waterfall hunting in the mountains, and neighborhood bike rides with his wife Marcy and children, Hattie and Coy. Adam is an avid Formula 1 fan and loves any event that can be enjoyed with friends and clients.

Jason is a proud graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and UNC Wilmington, and has his North Carolina Teaching Certificate. Jason’s decade of experience in education and technology were essential to his move into financial services in 2002 and helped to hone skills that are in demand today.

With Series 7 & 66 registrations, Life and Long-Term Care, and Insurance licenses, Jason leverages his extensive expertise to educate clients across the United States. Drawing from his background in technology and experience in founding a tech company, he aims to seamlessly integrate investment insights with collaborative approaches, team building, and effective project management skills, providing invaluable perspectives in today's investment landscape.

Based in Wilmington for over 40 years with his wife Dr. Jenni Harris, they love to spend time with their family and their dog, a Boykin Spaniel named Rhett. Jason is active in shooting sports, bird hunting, fly fishing and civic engagement. Their family supports the Boy Scouts, Meals On Wheels, Red Cross, Historic Wilmington Foundation, UNCW alumni boosters, YWCA, Chamber of Commerce, and Art for the Masses.

Christopher (Rusty) Knowles, a 2003 graduate of Methodist College, holds Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations. Beginning his finance career in 2006 in the mortgage business, Rusty transitioned to Wachovia Bank in 2008 as a Licensed Financial Specialist, eventually joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2010 as a licensed Financial Advisor. 

With extensive experience through major market shifts, Rusty focuses on a client-first approach reflecting his core values of integrity, relationships, and growth. His primary goal is to do the right thing every day to develop trusted relationships with the families that he serves to help them grow through their working years and retirement.

Outside of work, Rusty dedicates his time to his wife Rachel and his two children, Greyson, and Hannah. Rusty enjoys sports, watching movies, and reading a good book.  He also spends time raising money for local non-profit organizations to support his son and others who are affected with autism spectrum disorder.

Marcy joined the team in 2019, bringing leadership, program development, and event coordination experience from her background at Port City Community Church. In her early months with the team, challenges posed by the unfamiliar landscape of Covid-19, Marcy was dedicated to maintaining client service excellence. She not only focused on marketing but also immersed herself in keeping the team connected and engaged with clients during those uncertain and isolating days. 

As Financial Consultant turned Senior Registered Development Manager, Marcy focuses on cultivating client relationships, leveraging her Series 7, 66 securities registrations. She brings valuable experience in leadership, program development, and event coordination, and most importantly, cultivating our client relationships. 

Marcy lives in Wilmington with her husband Adam and children, Hattie and Coy. Marcy's family enjoys travel, camping, beach time, and Formula 1 races. Marcy is active in local education programs and community service, contributing to Science Olympiad, Family Advisory Council, and Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.

Troy Sharpe, a 2019 graduate of University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He holds Series 7 & 66 registrations, as well as long-term care and insurance licenses. Shortly after graduation, Troy began his career with U.S. Bancorp Investments as a Wealth Management Associate. In 2022, Troy moved to North Carolina to join Wells Fargo Advisors as a Registered Client Associate.

In Troy’s role as a Registered Operations Manager, his primary focus is on improving processes and best practices, formulating strategic and operational objectives, and finding ways to increase quality of customer service. He also assists clients with trading and creating financial plans. 

Wilmington has been a perfect home for Troy as coastal living has been a lifelong dream. He is passionate about being on the water and fishing. You can also find Troy on the golf course, or simply spending quality time with family and friends.

Chris joins Atlas with 20 years in retail management and customer service. He is a problem solver and genuinely enjoys helping people which makes him perfect for his role as Client Service Advocate.

Chris has spent most of his life in NC. He likes to say that he is “more from Wilmington than not,” as that is the place he keeps returning to. There was one brief sojourn to Greenville in the early 2000s to obtain a BA in English from East Carolina University.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys reading, as well as video and cards games. He and his wife Heather try to care for as many local stray critters as possible, and usually have a car port and back yard populated by well-fed cats, possums, and raccoons. He will inevitably be survived by his indoor pets: an emotional Husky and his five fiendish felines.

Zach, a seasoned financial advisor with over 10 years of experience, is the founding partner of the Greensboro, NC office. Zach has played a pivotal role in establishing a strong presence in the local market. Holding Series 7 & 66 securities registrations, along with long-term care and life insurance licenses, Zach provides expert guidance and comprehensive investment planning services in financial markets, investment strategies, and wealth management.

Understanding the challenges of finding the right advisor, Zach is committed to ensuring a smooth and comfortable investment planning process. Zach strives to create tailored client experiences, serving as a reliable source for financial guidance and education, empowering clients to make informed decisions in all their investment planning.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys traveling with his junior-high school sweetheart Jessica and their two children, Kabrey and Liam, coaching youth football, attending hockey games, and embracing the challenges of golf.

Bringing over a decade of industry experience, Jessica is a vital asset to the Greensboro office of Atlas Investment Management. Her cheerful disposition and get-it-done attitude drive her success in client-centered relationships. 

As Senior Development Manager, Jessica manages expenses, firm growth, compliance submissions, and client outreach, emphasizing unique, tailored experiences. Jessica’s dedication to exceptional client relationships is shown through her love of perfecting the little details and personal touches.

Outside of work, you can find Jessica at the ice rink. She is an avid hockey fan and attends as many games as possible with her family. Jessica and Zach are frequently on the go with their children, Kabrey and Liam. Outside of football, hockey, volleyball, and dance they spend most of their free time volunteering within their community’s youth sports leagues, attending church events, and helping with school fundraisers.

Our Greensboro Client Service Advocate, Kristi Crowther, brings over 30 years of experience as an Executive Assistant. 

Her valuable experience, in combination with her cheerful disposition and dedication to client service excellence, allow Kristi to provide clients with a wonderful experience. Whether you are stopping by the Greensboro office in person or calling on the phone, Kristi is always happy to assist you. 

Originally, from the UK, Kristi moved to the US in 2011. She and her husband, Dave, live in Greensboro with their children Charley and Erin, two dogs, two cats and a leopard Gecko.
